The Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry is a joint initiative
between the Universities of Plymouth and Exeter and the NHS. This is a
University of Plymouth appointment.

We are looking for an enthusiastic researcher to work in a team
studying pathogenesis of hereditary brain tumours (see also HMG 2003
12: 1211-1221, Brain Pathol 2008 (DOI) 10.1111/j.1750-3639.2008.00165,
Brain 2008 131:606-15, Cancer Res 2008 68:5236-45). You will join the
team led by Professor Oliver Hanemann in the fast growing neuroscience
community at Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry

You should have a good first degree or equivalent and a background in
cell biology (primary cell culture, transfections) and biochemistry
(Ips, pulldowns). A PhD in a relevant discipline is also desirable.
The final aim of our team is to identify new therapeutic targets for
patients with these tumours. The post is funded by Dr Hadwen Trust and
is a fixed term appointment for three years. The group is located in
the new state-of-the-art laboratories in the John Bull building in
Plymouth.
