Emerging Entrepreneurs Scholarship Program

MCC's Emerging Entrepreneurs Scholarship Program is funded by Finger Lakes WIRED, one of several regions funded by the United States Department of Labor Workforce Innovation in Regional Economic Development (WIRED) Initiative. Launched in November 2005, WIRED stresses the critical role that talent development plays in creating effective regional economic development strategies.
Monroe Community College is recruiting applicants for its new Emerging Entrepreneurs Scholarship Program. This scholarship program-which covers tuition, fees and books-gives aspiring entrepreneurs the tools they need to start and manage their own small businesses.

Registration for the Emerging Entrepreneurs Scholarship Program is separate from MCC's standard enrollment procedure. Candidates must complete an application and an essay by the August 11 deadline. The application process also includes an interview. Thirty participants will be chosen to participate in the Fall 2008 semester, which begins on Sept. 2 and runs through Dec. 18. Additional program information, including a downloadable application, can be viewed online at www.monroecc.edu/go/newbiz.
